The week started off with some fourth of July fun. Beach, aquarium, slip n slides, food and more.
On Wednesday our daughter had her annual allergist appointment. They retested for all of her allergens (Even the egg which we knew she could eat) To our surprise everything came back NEGATIVE! This should make us very happy yet it just creates another challenge since we know corn is still a problem as she threw it up when she ate it, and has GI bleeding every time she eats corn syrup, and peanut butter. The nurse practitioner is concerned with how severe her oat reaction was and with the test on Wednesday it showed nothing. This leads her to believe that Adelyn has a GI issue going on and is leaning once again towards FPIES.
To top it off She had shots on the 23rd of June. On day 9 her Injection site became red, swollen, and warm to touch out of no where! This concerned the NP that it was day 12 and still swollen, red, and warm to touch. She sent us to the primary where our daughters Vaccinations were done. After seeing her primary he ruled out an infection and just had us ice it! Thankfully it cleared up and she is fine.
Here’s to hoping next week is less eventful.
